Weeton Barracks - What's On in and around Freckleton and Lancashire

I came across the guys from AWOL in 2016 and after 1 meeting I saw something in them that made me strike a deal instantly. We organize the Greater Manchester Marathon and the Manchester Half Marathon and proposed something to them and started working with them on a professional level. Everyone is very professional and hard working and deliver exceptional results under any circumstance. They photo sharing platform is a must tool for any race organizer and then as a production company they have knocked it out of the park for us each and every time with either a promo video or a video to get people inspired to come and run. They are all open minded, they come up with the best solution to any problem that might arise, and they come up with plans that will give you piece of mind on race day. In general working with AWOL gives me as a race organizer, piece of mind that their section is covered, the results will be exactly what I am after, and that is something I would have anyday.

We received extensive support from AWOL after a national level incident in which one of our staff was involved. Greg and his team supported the staff member to cope with the multiple press enquiries around the incident and to support this staff member before during and after a very daunting national level press interview. The team were able to offer empathetic and pragmatic support, whilst also taking a strategic view on media engagement. We were very impressed and would recommend AWOL for a wide number of media tasks.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bed is as usual with premier in comfortable, and you never fail to get a good night's sleep. The weather in the UK is very warm right now, and the rooms don't have any forced air or aircon so it's warm at night. They do have a fan in the rooms, and this helps. Like any hotels you can't really open the windows, you have a small window at the top that provides a little fresh air. It's a little dated in this room, both furniture and bathroom are functional but a little old. Having the pub close at hand is good, breakfast seems good and the option to have your evening meal is convenient .

Decent hotel in a location that is good for working in the Preston area. It’s an old hotel but the rooms are the same as a normal modern Premier Inn and the bar/ food on site is good. Only downsize to the hotel for me was the water pressure for the shower. It wasn’t great but that might have just been that particular room. I was only there one evening so didn’t ask about it. Friendly staff who were helpful in helping me plan a trip to Bolton and ordering me a taxi as well.

Went a few weeks ago just for a look very good . Went to day for something advertised on there website and they had none very disappointed long drive in pouring rain for nothing

Not been here for some while well worth a visit good selection of Plants. Garden Furniture and you will always find a bargain in the shops below. I would have given a 5* for this review but the cafe let it's self down with a member of staff spending to much time talking and joking with other staff who where trying to work. The man with earing aid messed orders up and kept us and others waiting over 5mins for hot drinks if I had seen the self service sooner i wouldn't have waited in line. The Cafe has great food for sale and the other staff are helpful it was just this one who the side down . ☹👎
